The instructors are passionate about helping the students fulfill their goals through the practice of martial arts.  They have spent many years devoted to training in the martial arts and have attained a certain level of expertise to qualify them as teachers and also mentors.

Through extensive testing, certification and tournament level competition, our instructors have attained mastery in this martial art and now enjoy sharing their skill and passing it on to their students.

They pride themselves in providing quality Martial Arts instruction in a safe and positive learning environment, while challenging students to reach their full physical and mental potential.

Kuk Sool Won™ of Rohnert Park Assistant Instructors

Dahn Bo Nim, David Ellwood

Dahn Bo Nim, Jessica Ellwood

Dahn Bo Nim, Gerald Hong

Gerald has had a long history of martial arts training.  He practiced Judo as a child in Japan, Tang Soo Do while a teenager in Maryland (achieving 1st Degree Black Belt rank), Northern Shaolin Kung Fu in California (becoming an instructor) and then went on a long hiatus while developing his career in ceramic art.

His son, Devon, started Kuk Sool Won™ first, to help develop discipline and cooperation.  Gerald was impressed by the "completeness" of Kuk Sool Won™ as a martial system and it wasn't long before he was taking lessons himself.  He has been training since 2005, and is currently testing for 1st Degree Black Belt...

He still believes he needs more practice!
